Monday 1/7: 3:40-6:00 at east
Tuesday 1/8: Away meet vs O. North at mcmillan ms
bus leaves at 2:30 pm; meet starts at 5:00 pm
Wednesday 1/9: 3:40-6:00 at East
Thursday 1/10: home meet vs Bwest
warmups: at 3:30
Meet starts: 4:30
Friday 1/11: no practice due to east/west BB games
Saturday: 9:00 am - 11:30 am at east
Remember as a varsity sport all daily swim practices are mandatory unless engaged in an academic activity required of a class or ill or on a family obligation or something previously arranged. Please just let me know if you know of an upcoming absence from practice.

This is the third year of including students from platteview High School on the varsity swimming team at Bellevue East.
18-19 season starts tuesday november 13, 2018
(due to monday being veteran's day with no school at East)
Swim practices start at 3:40 PM for East swimmers at 4:00 pm for Platteview swimmers and may run up to 6:15 PM.
(This includes 20-30 minutes of dry-land conditioning. Athletes will need workout shorts, T-shirts, and tennis shoes for dry-land work.)
To participate you need to have cleared the office with all eligibility requirements: participation form, parent notarized, Insurance policy number, Emergency contact, athelete signature, ACTIVITY CARD, and academic eligibility.
Platteview swimmers also need a transportation form completed and turned in.
all must be on file before before nov 13th in order to swim or dive.
for non-metro qualifiers the season ends after the chieftain invite.
for non-state qualifiers the season ends after metro.N
the state meet is the end of the season for state qualifiers.

To qualify for this award, you must:
Have a minimum GPA of 3.750 on a 4 point scale, or 93.7500% of the grade scale your school uses for 7 semesters/11 trimesters. GPA may not be rounded up. (Your school’s grade scale is determined by the point value awarded a regular, non-weighted “A”; examples are listed on the back of the application
Be a graduating senior
Have lettered in your high school program (swimming, diving, or water polo) your senior year.
A copy of your transcript is required.

As a member of the B.E.S.T. all swimmers and divers are automatically Varsity level!
The team does not have a bench, a second string, a JV team or a Freshman team.
Everyone participates, competes, and has the opportunity to earn a Varsity Letter!
No prior competitive swimming required although you must be able to swim one length of the pool doing freestyle or backstroke.
We will take you as you are and work to get you where you want to be.
