Welcome to Chieftain Swimming!
This is the third year of including students from platteview High School on the varsity swimming team at Bellevue East.
18-19 season starts tuesday november 13, 2018
(due to monday being veteran's day with no school at East)
Swim practices start at 3:40 PM for East swimmers at 4:00 pm for Platteview swimmers and may run up to 6:15 PM.
(This includes 20-30 minutes of dry-land conditioning. Athletes will need workout shorts, T-shirts, and tennis shoes for dry-land work.)
participants need to have purchased an activity card and have a sport's physical and parental permission on file before Nov 13th in order to swim or dive.
for non-metro qualifiers the season ends after the chieftain invite.
for non-state qualifiers the season ends after metro.
the state meet is the end of the season for state qualifiers.

To qualify for this award, you must:
Have a minimum GPA of 3.750 on a 4 point scale, or 93.7500% of the grade scale your school uses for 7 semesters/11 trimesters. GPA may not be rounded up. (Your school’s grade scale is determined by the point value awarded a regular, non-weighted “A”; examples are listed on the back of the application
Be a graduating senior
Have lettered in your high school program (swimming, diving, or water polo) your senior year.
A copy of your transcript is required.

As a member of the B.E.S.T. all swimmers and divers are automatically Varsity level!
The team does not have a bench, a second string, a JV team or a Freshman team.
Everyone participates, competes, and has the opportunity to earn a Varsity Letter!
No prior competitive swimming required although you must be able to swim one length of the pool going freestyle or backstroke.
We will take you as you are and work to get you where you want to be.
